I popped into Nottingham city centre this week. Apart from the main bus company doing a recruitment drive (excuse the pun), another sight in the Market Square caught my attention.
Had the Council House roof been invaded by a giant Octopus?
Don’t believe me. Here’s the proof.

Was it a promotional thing?
Later, I discovered there are inflatable monsters on top of a number buildings in the city centre this month. All part of a Halloween festival organised by the Nottingham Business Improvement District, for the half-term school holidays.
October can be a bit miserable with the autumn weather and reduced light levels, so the bright monsters dotted about will be fun.
I’ll be looking out for the other inflatables on my visits to the city centre this month…
Any fun October events taking place where you are?
