Samhain Blessings, and Happy Halloween…

The Winter to Come

Samhain blessings, and Happy Halloween to all readers of my blog. I hope the weather is being kinder to you (wherever you are) than it is here- more rain.

In-between: writing, learning, social media, and every day life, I grow fruit and vegetables. No, I don’t grow Pumpkins or squashes, but it does appear to have been a good harvest for many growers this year.

I’m back to the work in progress this week, so it won’t bother me if it’s dark and raining outside.

However you celebrate today, have fun and stay safe.

Strange Sights…

I popped into Nottingham city centre this week. Apart from the main bus company doing a recruitment drive (excuse the pun), another sight in the Market Square caught my attention.

Had the Council House roof been invaded by a giant Octopus?

Don’t believe me. Here’s the proof.

A Surprising Sight…

Was it a promotional thing?

Later, I discovered there are inflatable monsters on top of a number buildings in the city centre this month. All part of a Halloween festival organised by the Nottingham Business Improvement District, for the half-term school holidays.

October can be a bit miserable with the autumn weather and reduced light levels, so the bright monsters dotted about will be fun.

I’ll be looking out for the other inflatables on my visits to the city centre this month…

Any fun October events taking place where you are?
